Discover a Fast Weight Loss Diet Strategy
A fast diet should not involve a drastic reduction of calories. Everybody has a minimum number of calories they need to intake each day. This is loosely based on your height, current weight and activity level as well as any health concerns. It is not safe to eat much less than your recommended calorie intake on a daily basis. Naturally if you wish to lose weight you must burn more calories than you consume, but this is easier and safer to do mainly through exercise rather than through a drastic fast weight loss diet.
Metabolism is the rate at which your body burns calories. Some people have a fast metabolism whilst others are quite slow. Whilst you can not totally control your metabolism, the foods you eat and the exercise you do will influence your metabolism.
The best fast weight loss diet is one that includes a wide range of foods such as vegetables, fruits, plenty of fibre from wholemeal varieties like pasta and rice. Protein can be taken either from lean meats or in the case of vegetarians, from lentils and beans as well as. Because red meat can cause high cholesterol make sure you limit it to no more than two servings per week. Fish can also make up for some of your protein intake.
Once your plan is worked out, start thinking about your exercise schedule. Ideally you should be performing some form of cardiovascular exercise everyday. This can mean 20 minutes of walking, jogging or cycling per day, or even a game of tennis. Swimming is a fantastic form of exercise, as is aerobics and skipping. For really speedy results start lifting some weights 2 to 3 times per week. Building muscle will assist in burning fat even faster.
A fast weight loss diet does not have to be dull. You can eat some of your favorite junk food as a special treat once per week so you don’t become disillusioned with your new eating habits. Combined with exercise, a good diet will speed up your weight loss and bring you some initial results in a matter of weeks.

Keeping my weight down has always been a challenge to me and I agree that burning more calories than you eat is the key but the hardest thing for me to do.
Watching what I eat has become a bit easier since I started using my crock pot again as I can cook fat free and combining that with a good walk every day has really made a difference. I might add some swimming as you suggested.
